Wessex Learning Trust Attendance Policy
Mark First and Pre-School C of E Academy is a friendly and welcoming school, where children enjoy learning and are keen to attend school.
We know that attending school regularly enables children to make better progress and achieve well in their learning, which is why we place a huge emphasis on attendance. We want to do everything we can to support you with attendance because regular communication makes a difference.
If your child is unable to attend school due to illness, please telephone the school office before 9am to inform us and continue to update us daily after the first day of absence.
We regularly monitor attendance and irregular or low levels of attendance are recorded. Letters may be sent out where there are continued concerns about levels of attendance and we may invite you to a meeting to discuss how we can support you.
