Every year since 1926, on 22nd February, members of Girl Guide and Scout movements all over the globe have celebrated World Thinking Day. It’s a day when they think of each other and give thanks and appreciation for their international friendships. On this day, anyone who is a member of Rainbows, Beavers, Cubs or Brownies is invited to wear their uniform in to school to show others that you are part of the organisation.
Today our Kestrel and Woodpecker classes are going on an exciting trip to the Roman Baths!
Our book fair runs every day after school this week to celebrate World Book Day 2024
As it is so close to Valentine’s Day, and to help us in our fundraising efforts the PTFA hope that you will support the children in taking part in a sponsored ‘Love Run.
Thank you to those parents who have already signed up to Class Dojo. It has been fun watching the monsters hatch out of the eggs. A new sign up email was sent to all parents/carers this week that have not yet signed up. We are now regularly using Dojo to keep families informed and we would love you to do this as soon as possible.

1 Minute Maths
We are using 'Number Sense' which is a program to develop children's confidence and flexibility with number and fluency in addition and subtraction facts. To support your child at home with their development in this area of Maths, there is an app which we would recommend. The free app is called 1 Minute Maths by White Rose Hub and will develop confidence with subitising and the four operations in Maths.

The Wessex community expresses our deepest sympathies on the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II. She led with a strong sense of morality and duty and was our spiritual leader. Our schools will observe the mourning period whilst continuing to support our learners, families & staff.
