Christmas Arrangements – Please Keep for Reference
As this time of year tends to be very busy both at school and at home we thought that we would give you a list of events taking place over the next few weeks to help with your planning.
Once again the children will be performing a Christmas play which will take place in the village church. As a church school we welcome this opportunity to use this lovely building for our celebrations although we do appreciate that it has limited viewing and seating. This means we will have to limit tickets to two per family initially.
Monday 30th November - Tickets go on sale for our Christmas performance “Straw and Order” This promises to be a lovely performance and the children are really enjoying preparing! Tickets are priced £3 each and can be bought at the school office. For a short period they are limited to two per family. Please, please get your tickets quickly to ensure you can attend your preferred performance. The PTFA are kindly providing two lovely Christmas hampers and you will have the opportunity to win one of these at each performance!
Friday 4th December – All costumes to be in school in a named carrier bag. If you have any queries about costumes, please see your child’s class teacher.
All remaining tickets released from the school office.
Saturday 5th December – PTFA Party. Please confirm your tickets by Friday
Tuesday 8th December – Dress Rehearsal Day. This year we are doing things a little differently. All the children will need to be dropped off at the Church at 8:55 am or earlier if they are booked into Breakfast Club. Breakfast Club will be at the church from 7:50 am. Owls and Buzzards will spend the morning taking part in some Christmas activities in the church hall. Herons, Kestrels and Woodpeckers will remain in the church all day. During the afternoon there will be a full dress rehearsal for the whole school. They will all need a packed lunch which will be provided if your child has booked a hot dinner. A slip will follow for those relevant children. Please collect all the children from the church at 3:30pm. Those who are going to after school clubs will be transported back to school at 3:15 pm. Pre-school children can be collected from Pre-School earlier if necessary.
Wednesday 9th December – “Straw and Order” Matinee performance in church at 2:15 pm. Children will be transported to the Church ready for the performance by mini bus. They will eat their lunch in school as normal. After the performance children can be picked up at 3:30 pm. Again Pre-School children can be collected earlier if necessary. Those children attending after school clubs will be transported back to school at 3:15 pm. Children can take home their costume but will need to ensure they arrive wearing it the following evening. See below.
Thursday 10th December – “Straw and Order” Evening Performance at
6:15 pm. Please ensure your child arrives in their costume and in position by
6:00 pm prompt. The performance will last approximately 1 hour and children can be picked up from the church at approximately 7:30 pm.

Breakfast & After School Clubs
Please note Breakfast Club will be in the church on 8th and 16th December and After School Clubs will run at school as normal on every day. We can arrange transport back to school for those booked into After School Clubs on 8th and 9th December but please let us know if you would like your child to make use of this transport, so that we can provide enough transport. Otherwise we will assume you will be transporting your own child.
This is a lot to take in and so if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
Thank you for your support this term.
